2018 All-City Swim Meet In Monona Is Looking for Community Involvement!

(Monona, WI) One of the country’s largest outdoor amateur swim meets will convene in Monona, WI on July 26-28, 2018 when Monona Swim & Dive Club (MO) hosts the 2018 All-City Swim Meet (All-City).  An expected 2000+ swimmers, ages 4-18 from 13 area swim clubs will compete in  4,426 entry events over the three day event.  With this event comes plenty of opportunity for area businesses and residents to participate in various sponsorship and volunteer opportunities!

“This is a tremendous opportunity to spotlight what a exceptional meet we can put on,” says Rhonda Holler-Steenhagen, Co-Chair of the Monona’s All-City Swim Meet. “Of course to accomplish this it will take a village of volunteers and sponsorship. With help, we will make a fantastic event for swimmers, spectators and area residents,” adds Holler-Steenhagen.

Volunteers

Each year the All-City meet requires 400 volunteers each day of the event.  Volunteers range from timers to food service, parking, greeters and set- up and tear-down each day.  It does not matter if you are familiar with competitive swimming or have never attended a swim meet, there are opportunities for everyone!  If you are interested in finding out more about how you, your business or group can help out please contact the 2018 All-City Volunteer Chair  at [email protected] .

The All-City has a long-history in the Madison Area dating back to 1962 at Hill Farm Pool.  The meet offers an introduction to competitive swimming and diving for kids from ages 4-18 during the summer months. MO first joined the All-City League in 1965, and hosted the All-City Swim Meet in 1972, ’79, ’86, ‘95 and 2006.
